Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.

They are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to lead the operation, drive improvements and develop various teams.

Role & Responsibilities of the Shift Manager:

• Working closely with the other Shift Managers, leading a team of X3 team leaders & X40 staff
• When working on the night shift, be the most senior person on site
• Carry out shift handovers, floor walks speaking to team members and team leaders
• Monitor production plans, overlook reports, KPi performance management
• Training and performance management of team leaders
• Manage factory workflow, planning, identify areas of improvement, maximise output
• Work closely with engineering, safety, quality, sales & planning teams

Knowledge, Skills & Experience need to be a Shift Manager:

• Proactive person – leading from the shopfloor
• Must have worked in a busy manufacturing operation previously
• Managed a similar size team / structure
• Able to demonstrate solid leadership skills and ownership
• Target and results driven person
• Six Sigma, IOSH, ILM qualified
• Strong decision making skills – able to make things happen strategically when on night shift
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing – 5S, Kaizen, RCA
