Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)

£52,000 + Overtime
12hr 4on 4off Days & Nights (6:30-6:30)
Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying into bakeries, supermarkets and online food delivery companies. They are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer that is electrically biased, to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services
• Carry out PPM’s, reactive maintenance & project work
• Working on conveyors, food production & packaging machinery, PLC’s, mixers, rollers, ovens, freezers, automation & controls, control panels, steam systems, robotics, wrappers, baggers
• Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure plant safety & reliability
• Dealing with pneumatics, inverters, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, inverters, sensors
• Project engineering – hands-on equipment upgrades & continuous improvements
• Utilise the CMMS systems fully and assist in its development
• Liaise with the engineering planner on the daily workload to ensure priorities
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Must be an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer but have a strong electrical biased
• Previously have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing/production
• Electrical safety and LOTO experience in an industrial environment
• Qualified to HNC/HND level preferably or NVQ Level 3 Engineering as a minimum
• MUST have completed a UK based time-served-apprenticeship
• Able to work well under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
• Positive and driven character
• Knowledge of continuous improvements and project work
• Able to work well under pressure
• 17th Edition qualified ideally
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems
Shifts & Benefits Package:
• Hours:- 12hr 4on 4off Days & Nights (6:30-6:30)
• Salary:- £52,000 + Overtime
• Benefits:- 22 Shift Holidays, Up to 10% match Pension, Life Assurance, Reduced Healthcare
