Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group. This site has a great culture and feel to retaining its team members, due to a recent promotion, they are looking for a maintenance engineer.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all engineering services on site – maintenance, breakdowns of machinery, efficiency, reliability & improvements
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs and PPM schedules
• Working on production & packaging machinery, automation & controls, PLC’s, site services
• Dealing with motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, safety circuits
• Assist in project work – new machine installations & upgrades
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining work

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Multi-Skilled engineer – either mechanical or electrical biased
• Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
• Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering
• Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair skills
• Must have worked in manufacturing, FMCG, production industry
• PLC – electrical fault finding
• Beneficial to have mechanical fabrication, fitting & welding skills
• Experience with motors, drives, circuits, gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains
• Able to read electrical & mechanical drawings
