Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)

Monday-Friday 6am-2pm / 12pm-8pm (Early Finish Fridays)
Cambridgeshire (PE29)

Our client is a leading manufacturer & distributor of specialist products supplied through the UK & Europe, part of a larger global group. With a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer that is electrical biased.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out planned & reactive maintenance of all manufacturing machinery, process plant, site services & facilities
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
  • Dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, automation, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, sensors
  • Installating & commissioning of machinery & equipment
  • Ensure that records & work request systems are up-to-date, PAT testing
  • Contribute towards NPI rollout into production lines, supporting other sites overseas if needed

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer – must be electrically biased
  • Minimum level 3 qualified or higher – electrical engineering – apprenticeship
  • Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills
  • Ideally have knowledge of HVAC systems, building services / facilities
  • Strong communication skills – dealing with contractors, other sites throughout Europe
  • Beneficial if carried out new machinery installations & commissioning
  • PLC – electrical fault finding – Siemens & Allen Bradley
  • 18th Edition – beneficial
  • Must be comfortable working at heights, overtime if needed, overseas when required
