Monday-Friday 6am-3pm / 3pm-11pm

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. Due to expansion within the business and a new shift rotation being added, they are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Production Shift Leader who is up for a challenge!

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Working closely with Production Shift Leaders to manage a production team of around 12 people
  • Leading 2 production areas, all with high-speed food production lines & packaging machinery
  • Setting up the shift, handovers, workload allocation, manage labor
  • Monitoring compliance plans, health & safety, food safety & quality standards
  • Training of production line leaders, bridging the gap of communication between operators and shift leaders and escalation processes
  • Support the production manager with labor costings, holidays, absence, agency workforce
  • Delivering and monitoring all KPi’s
  • Continuous improvements and lean manufacturing projects
  • Accident investigations, near misses, BRC audits

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Looking for a strong man-manager, able to influence change, firm but fair in their approach
  • Able to lead and create new lines of communication
  • Food manufacturing experience would be beneficial
  • Must be a leader, able to train, delegate and positively drive the teams
  • Experience of conducting continuous improvement projects would be great
  • Qualified in Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & Safety
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, allergens, quality auditing would be beneficial
  • Results driven, to manage and develop KPi’s
  • Previously have maintained standards, processes & procedures
