£45,000 – £48,000 + Overtime

Tuesday – Friday (17:45-05:30)

Our client is a leading fresh food processing & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to continued customer growth they are looking for a number of Multi-Skilled Night Shift Maintenance Engineers – electrical or mechanical biased.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Carried out mainly planned preventative maintenance and servicing schedules on night shift
  • Using a Shire Pirana CMMS system to complete PPM schedules and improvements
  • Will be working as the sole engineer on night shift – supported by production & hygiene teams
  • Provide front line engineering support to all food processing, production & packaging machinery
  • Carrying out both electrical & mechanical fault finding
  • Working on high-speed food production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & controls
  • Keep machinery working to the designed output efficiency
  • Monitor computer systems to determine efficiencies & development of systems
  • Working on facilities and site services maintenance daily
  • Regular PPM and scheduled maintenance & improvement works

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer – either electrical or mechanical biased
  • Must have some hands-on engineering experience
  • Ideally have worked in a food manufacturing – but open to engineers from different industries
  • Comfortable with working permanent nights on own initiative
  • Must have lots of experience of completing PPM schedules unsupervised
  • Strong cultural fit need to be a confident character with a good sense of humour
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Beneficial to have worked on high-speed food production, packaging & processing machinery
  • Hold some form of engineering qualifications
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills
  • Proven experience of continuous improvement activities
  • PLC – electrical fault-finding skills would be beneficial
