Maintenance / Facilities Engineer (Mechanical Biased)
East London (E16)
Monday-Friday Days (7am-3pm
£48,000 + Overtime

Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth & CI Projects at the site, they are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to maintain the facilities, utilities & site services on site.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on the site utilities, site services, steam & boiler systems, turbines, centrifuges, industrial processing & plant equipment, facilities, instrumentation, treatment plant and energy systems
- Mechanical fault finding, repairs, stripdowns & overhauls
- Minor electrical fault finding & safety isolations
- Working on pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, drives, bearings, shafts, actuators, hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment
- Improving plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement work
- Monitor contractors on site
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be a mechanically biased facilities / site services / utilities engineer
- HNC or HND qualified, time served apprenticeship
- Electrical fault finding experience would be beneficial
- Previously have dealt with site services, facilities, boilers, steam systems, utilities
- Must have worked in an industrial manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of safety isolation procedures
- Must have worked on pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes
- Experience of using SAP would be beneficial
- Advantageous if worked with PLC systems
- Any experience of working in an ATEX / CompEX environment would be great
