About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a key Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) scheme in Milton Keynes. Running through until the end of March, this project focuses on delivering multi-measure retrofit and renewable upgrades across occupied social housing stock.

You will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, managing specialist sub-contractors, ensuring strict quality control, and maintaining high safety standards and customer satisfaction throughout the delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee the installation of retrofit measures including Solar PV, Loft Insulation, Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI), and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs).

  • Sub-Contractor Coordination: Program and supervise multi-trade sub-contractors to ensure works remain on schedule to meet strict framework delivery targets.

  • Quality & Compliance: Drive standards in line with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 guidelines, carrying out regular quality audits and pre-/post-installation sign-offs.

  • Health & Safety: Maintain a zero-harm site environment, enforcing RAMS, conducting site inductions, and completing daily H&S inspections.

  • Tenant Relations: Work closely with Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) to ensure smooth access, minimal disruption to residents, and quick resolution of tenant queries.

Person Specification & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven track record as a Site Manager on social housing retrofit, SHDF, or ECO / warmworks schemes.

  • Technical understanding of renewable technologies (Solar PV, ASHPs) and insulation measures (Loft & Cavity Wall).

  • Valid SMSTS card.

  • Valid CSCS Black or Gold Card.

  • Valid First Aid at Work.

  • Strong communication skills with experience managing works in occupied properties.

Desirable:

  • PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 Awareness or retrofit qualification.
