Stafforce Ports are recruiting Port Operatives to support a variety of cargo handling and vessel operations within the Port of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy port environment, working across quayside and supporting terminal operations.
No two days are the same in this varied role, with duties ranging from supporting vessel operations to gatehouse activities and industrial cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

As a Port Operative, your duties may include:

  • Carrying out slinging and banking duties during vessel operations

  • Supporting container and terminal activities

  • Lashing and rigging containers and cargo

  • Carrying out gatehouse duties and assisting with vehicle movements

  • Completing industrial cleaning and general housekeeping

  • Supporting cargo handling operations

  • Following all site safety procedures and maintaining high operational standards

  • Helping to ensure port and logistics activities run safely and efficiently

 
Skills & Experience

We are interested in candidates with experience in:
  • Port or dock operations
  • Slinging and banking
  • Lashing and rigging
  • Container operations
  • Logistics or warehouse environments
  • Industrial cleaning
  • Manufacturing or other industrial setting
A full UK driving licence is highly desirable. Holding a licence can also support future career development, including opportunities to train on specialist port equipment, plant and machinery.
