Clinical Research Psychologist (R171) Atlanta, Georgia
Applicants should have proficiency and interest in research, substance misuse, mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and military trauma issues. The Psychologist should have specialty training in rehabilitation psychology and/or addiction treatment, psychological assessment, and have interdisciplinary treatment team experience. Military psychology or VA experience is preferred.
Primary responsibilities for this position include active interdisciplinary team participation, and providing substance misuse and rehabilitative treatment services for service members and their families/caregivers, which may include individual, group, and family therapy/interventions, assessments, consultations, and education. This Psychologist will spend approximately 50% effort on research, assisting in the coordination and implementation of a currently funded project. The Department of Psychology and Neuropsychology currently has a large psychology staff with services in inpatient and outpatient brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and pain management.
