Senior ILS & ARM Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary up to 48K
The opportunity
This opportunity will be working in support of larger programmes, through the analysis of a range of equipment and software applications associated with the various System architectures. Our client provides consultative solutions for programmes throughout defence. With this role assisting in the development of deliverables and the solutions to achieve these within a given timescale. Senior ILS & ARM Engineers will be supporting Project ILS leads through project delivery and new bid development.
Tasks:
• Undertake ARM analysis as defined in the associated ARM Plans (based on DEF STAN 00-40).
• Identify risks associated with ILS & ARM Programme.
• Prepare and produce R&M Case and associated Case Reports.
• Develop FMECA and R&M models as appropriate.
• Present ARM issues and mitigations to Senior Management.
• Day to day management of ILS Programme Plans for specified projects.
• Create and maintain ILS programme schedules
• Produce ILS Element Plans in accordance with DEF-STAN 00-600 and the Statement of Work
• Undertake supportability analysis and produce associated reports.
• Day to day management of project risks that impact the ILS workstream/deliverables.
• Responsibility for Supply Support deliverables including FRACAS, Spares Modelling, Codification, Technical Publications, Service Reviews and Service Management Working Groups.
• Undertake impact assessments or Change requests including associated Cost Impact assessments.
• Production and maintenance of ILS programme schedules.
Essential Skills:
• Minimum 3 years plus experience in ILS / ARM position
• Engineering Degree in Electronics or related discipline (experienced ILS Engineers without a degree will also be considered)
• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of DEF STANS 00-13, 00-40, 00-42, 00600, 05-95 and equivalent Military Standards and Handbooks.
• Thorough understanding of Supportability Analysis (SA) and knowledge of R&M
Desirable Skills:
• Experience of working with/for the Ministry of Defence.
• ITIL Accreditation
• Knowledge of RAM 4 ARM Modelling software
