Based in Scunthorpe previous experience working with Steel is highly desirable.

We have great opportunities for Steel Operatives within the Scunthorpe area with experience driving heavy plant and machinery. We are looking for Forklift B2, Overhead crane, HGV Shunter operators.

The Job Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a competent B2 forklift truck driver, overhead crane driver, HGV shunter wishing to progress a career within Ports.

• Operating plant such as B2 Counterbalance forklift, Class 1 HGV, Forklift, Loading Shovels & Gantry cranes
• Loading and Unloading lorries
• Checking quality of products
• Organising warehouse plans
• Liaising with operations on a daily basis
• Supporting vessel discharge and stevedore teams
• Previous experience operating heavy plant is essential
• Previous experience operating B2 Counterbalance forklifts is highly desirable
• Previous experience of steel products is desirable but not essential
• Flexible approach to work
• Previous experience working in a similar role such as Steel Operative, Lorry driver, Operative, Forklift driver, crane driver, stevedore is desirable but not essential
• Team player keen to learn new skills and strive for continuous improvement
