Are you looking for a hands-on, fast-paced role in one of the UK’s busiest ports? We’re seeking reliable and hardworking Port Operatives to join our growing team in Immingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, teamwork, and a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

About the Role

As a Port Operative, you’ll play a key part in supporting the safe and efficient movement of cargo across the port. Your responsibilities may include:

• Loading and unloading vessels, trailers, and containers
• Operating port machinery and equipment (training provided)
• General labouring, cargo handling, and yard duties
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet operational targets

This role suits people who are proactive, safety-focused, and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Skills & Experience

While previous port or warehouse experience is beneficial, it’s not essential as full training will be provided. We’re looking for:

• Good level of physical fitness
• Ability to work shifts, including nights or weekends if required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A safety-first mindset
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Ability to reliably get to site, due to limitations on public transport and location of the site own transport is essential

Desirable qualifications:

• Counterbalance FLT licence
• UK Drivers licence
• Tug/Shunter experience
• RoRo experience
• Loading shovel experience
• Reachstacker experience
• Overhead Gantry crane experience
• Banksman/Slinger certification
• Full UK driving licence

This position is based at the Port of Immingham, easily accessible from Grimsby, Hull, Cleethorpes, and surrounding areas.
