We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shovel Driver to join a busy and well-established operation in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Loading Shovel Operator looking for stable work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Moving bulk materials around the site
• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Reporting any defects or maintenance issues
• Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
• Supporting other operational duties when required
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Shovel Driver, Loading Shovel Operator, Plant Operator, or similar role
• Valid Loading Shovel Licence (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexible approach to work and shift patterns
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Desirable Skills

• Experience within recycling, aggregates, waste management, ports, manufacturing, or construction environments
• Additional plant machinery tickets would be advantageous
