Warehouse Operative – Temp to Perm

Do you have trade/construction experience and are looking into moving into a warehouse position? Our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative to support the smooth running of their warehouse, despatch and delivery of customer orders.

Pay

• £12.71 per hour (temp)
• £12.96 per hour once permanent

Hours

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am–3:30pm
• 45-minute unpaid lunch break
• Some flexibility for the right person (e.g. 8:30am–5:00pm for school runs etc.)

Key Duties

• Pick and pack orders accurately
• Load/offload vehicles
• Local deliveries & collections as required (ensuring paperwork is completed correctly)
• Serve customers at the collection point when needed
• Support stock checks, goods-in, bagging down bulk stock and kitting
• Work closely with the warehouse team and communicate effectively with colleagues/supervisors
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards and follow company procedures/standards (including ISO where applicable)
• Support continuous improvement and carry out other reasonable tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse experience and ability to complete regular manual handling
• Able to follow instructions, work under pressure and to deadlines
• Team player with the ability to work independently and use initiative
• Good organisation and prioritisation skills
• IT literate (Microsoft Office), good literacy and numeracy

Desirable: Full clean driving licence, Counterbalance FLT licence, ISO knowledge, experince working within construction/trade indsutry
