Purchasing Admin – Andover (Fully Onsite)

A well-established business in Andover is looking for a Purchasing Admin to support the Purchasing Manager and help manage the day-to-day running of the purchasing department. You’ll assist with sourcing and ordering supplies, materials and components, ensuring the right balance of price, quality and on-time delivery, while maintaining accurate records and strong supplier relationships.

 

Salary

£26,500 per annum

 

Working hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
  • Fully onsite in Andover

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Purchasing Manager
  • Help manage the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department
  • Ensure supplies/materials/components are fit for purpose, consistent and meet internal/external requirements
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships through regular communication
  • Arrange product samples for relevant product areas
  • Purchase parts/materials at competitive prices and ensure on-time delivery
  • Manage monthly call-offs
  • Progress orders and resolve supplier queries
  • Book-in purchase orders and deliveries
  • Manage supplier returns paperwork, liaising with the accounts team where required
  • Update product records as needed
  • Assist with stock adjustments following daily stock checks
  • Support the team in establishing and maintaining quality requirements from external suppliers
