Bilingual Payroll / HR Generalist (1429703) Stickney, Illinois

Salary: USD55000 - USD62000 per year

Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Manfuacturer in Chicago. We are currently hiring a Bilingual Payroll / HR Generalist. 

 

Responsibilities/Duties

The responsibilities of the Bilingual Payroll / HR Generalist are, but are not limited to:

  • Payroll Administration

    • Coordinate, audit, and edit payroll reports, ensuring accuracy of hours worked and non-worked time (vacation, personal, sick).

    • Process weekly payroll by entering time sheets and importing data from timekeeping systems.

    • Calculate and track deductions including benefits, garnishments, and wage assignments.

    • Submit payroll figures electronically to payroll service providers.

    • Maintain payroll-related reports such as 401(k) contributions and insurance premium summaries.

    • Distribute paychecks, including mailing checks to employees on leave.

    • Review weekly punches with management and make necessary adjustments before payroll processing.

    • Issue bi-weekly punch reports for department manager approval.

    • Follow up on adjustment orders and special payment requests.

    Employee Records & HR Support

    • Create, maintain, and update employee records for both hourly and salaried staff, including payroll details and vacation accruals/usage.

    • Support employee onboarding, including system setup and initial paperwork.

    • Order and maintain office supplies.

    • Coordinate company events and employee engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in payroll, HR, or related administrative roles.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, timekeeping, and compliance practices.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
