A leading national real estate advisory firm is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join its leadership team. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven professional with outstanding judgment, strategic acumen, and the ability to partner closely with senior consultants to advance the firm’s most promising opportunities. The Business Development Manager will serve as a critical connector between leadership and the market, helping to identify prospects, manage pipeline activity, and support business development initiatives that drive growth.

THE ROLE:

  • Build and maintain a focused list of prospects aligned with the firm’s strategic growth priorities.
  • Conduct research on target companies, investment platforms, and potential buyers of services.
  • Partner with senior consultants to craft thoughtful engagement strategies and support outreach.
  • Lead the rollout and ongoing management of the firm’s CRM system (HubSpot or equivalent).
  • Track opportunities, contacts, and interactions to ensure the pipeline is current and actionable.
  • Produce reporting dashboards that give leadership visibility into progress and pipeline health.
  • Support business development meetings, ensuring follow-up and accountability across the team.
  • Draft tailored outreach messages that reflect the firm’s brand and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with Principals and Managing Directors without disrupting existing client relationships.
  • Position the firm as a trusted partner and advisor, not just a vendor.

YOU:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, strategic marketing, client management, or analyst roles within professional services, commercial real estate, or investment-related firms.
  • Prior experience in commercial real estate, investment, or valuation/advisory strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly at the senior level.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • A proactive, strategic thinker who knows how to identify and qualify new opportunities.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to operate effectively behind the scenes in support of client-facing leaders.
  • Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in real estate, capital markets, and advisory services.
