Vehicle SMART Repair Technician

Location: Grimsby (DN31) | Pay: £16.72 per hour | Shifts: 4 on 4 off | Hours: 06:00–18:00

Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks (subject to performance and attendance)

GI Group Humber are recruiting an experienced Vehicle SMART Repair Technician for our automotive client based in Grimsby (DN31). This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled SMART Repairer looking for consistent work and a long-term role.

Pay & Hours

• £16.72 per hour
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern
• 06:00–18:00
• Temp to perm after 12 weeks (performance/attendance dependent)

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for completing high-quality cosmetic repairs, including:

• SMART repairs to a high cosmetic standard
• Repairing minor dents, scratches, bumper scuffs and paint defects
• Colour matching and blending to achieve seamless finishes
• Working in line with company standards and health & safety procedures
• Recording completed work and reporting any additional damage or issues

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years
• Be 22+ years old
• No points or endorsements (up to 3 points may be considered depending on code)
• Proven experience in SMART repair / bodyshop / cosmetic vehicle repair
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable and able to commit to the 4 on 4 off shift pattern
