Press Brake Operator

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Pay: £14.11 - £15.09 per hour depending on experience

Hours: Mon–Thu 07:00 – 15:30 / Fri 07:00 – 15:00

Contract: Temp to perm

Are you a Press Brake Operator looking for a stable role in a fast‑paced production environment? Our client, a well‑established and growing engineering manufacturer in Banbury, is expanding their production team and looking for a Press Brake Operator to start immediately.

Key responsibilities

·       Set, program (as required) and operate Amada press brakes

·       Read and work from engineering drawings and bend schedules

·       Select tooling, set back gauges, and carry out first-off checks

·       Measure and inspect components using basic measuring equipment

·       Maintain safe working practices and keep work area tidy

·       Support continuous improvement and meet production targets

What we’re looking for

·       Proven experience setting and operating Amada press brakes (downstroking essential)

·       Confident interpreting technical drawings

·       Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and tolerances

·       Strong attention to detail and quality
