Marketing Specialist (1169) Roanoke, Virginia
We are now seeking candidates to fill a Marketing Specialist position.
The Marketing Specialist will help support Farm Credit of the Virginia’s mission and business plan by working with the marketing team and internal and external resources, to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies for the organization. Primary duties include, but are not limited to the development and distribution of promotional material, media campaigns, the Leader magazine, press releases, customer surveys, general campaigns, and market research.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- Four years of relevant experience in a business environment. Knowledge of sales preferred.
- Driver’s license for work related travel.
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Researches and understands trends impacting the business
- Demonstrates creative, proofreading and editing experience.
- Ability to build internal and external networks
- Researches and understands trends impacting the business
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- General knowledge of the rural communities we serve.
- Availability to travel for onsite farm and branch office visits and training. Availability to work outside normal business hours, as needed.
