Chief Executive Officer – Fostering – c£100K

Hampton’s are delighted to be working alongside a small yet widely respected Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ fostering agency, who are looking for a new CEO. This not-for-profit organisation are in a strong position by providing high quality service, so along with a solid infrastructure, this would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on such an important role within a close-knit community operating across the Midlands/North.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership and direction for the organisation to ensure the Agency is positioned to meet its business aims, objectives and targets and is able to adapt to changes in the market.
  • Have overall responsibility for the development and quality of services for Looked after Children and Young People, ensuring that the best possible outcomes are achieved.  To take responsibility for meeting financial and business development targets set by the Board of Directors.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage all staff and resources to achieve excellence in service delivery; to create and optimise the capacity of the organisation, setting the agency’s vision, encompassing the mission, values, and overall strategy, adapting to constantly changing business conditions and priorities, to ensure the delivery of safe, high- quality, child centred services to children, foster carers and local authorities
  • You will be accountable for the agency as the Responsible Individual to ensure the welfare and safeguarding responsibilities are adhered to at all times

Skills and Experiences:

  • Social work qualification (ideally registered with Social Work England) or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of successful change management, involving and supporting teams and individuals to achieve objectives and outcomes
  • Proven track record of business planning, strategy formulation and implementation including innovative thinking and the ability to explore imaginative ways of optimising the use of resources whilst managing budgets in a controlled way
  • Significant experience of stakeholder engagement including service users, staff, regulatory bodies, local authorities, commissioning groups
  • An enthusiastic, responsive, flexible working style and the ability to work supportively and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrates understanding and clear commitment to the values of the Agency combined with high personal integrity
