Here at Hampton’s we are assisting in the recruitment of a children’s Registered Manager for a small residential care provider to oversee one of their homes based in Netley Marsh, Southampton. This role will be managing a home of 5 young occupants who have Learning Disabilities and complex needs. Could you be up for the challenge?

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offer leadership and management to a diverse residential care team which strives towards excellence in residential childcare provision, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the Homes statement of purpose

  • Understand the needs of the children and young people to ensure all staff are to work with them to ensure positive outcomes
  • Ensure transitions for children and young people are well planned, especially admission and discharge through close liaison with the Care director /Senior Management team

Skills and Experiences:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • Proven track record with Ofsted with ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes
  • Being resilient and able to support our children and young people in their most difficult times and represents being a great role model

Salary: Up to £42K + 35 days annual leave
