Hampton’s are proud to be working with one of the largest children’s residential organisations in helping them on the hunt for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager oversee a ‘Good’ rated 5 bed home based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire! This role provides the perfect opportunity for an experienced Ofsted manager continue to develop a successful running home using their expertise and knowledge of the residential care sector!

Our client is a leading provider of innovative care to children and young people who have complex needs, whether this be behavioral, emotional, learning or physical. Their adaptable and flexible approach means that they meet the needs and wants of the young people to provide the best quality of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality of care and the progress children make within the home is outstanding as defined in the SCCIF and detailed within Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
  • Mentor and support the leadership team in your setting and Residential support staff in provision of best possible childcare practices
  • Take responsibility for the management of the home within the agreed budget, taking account of all direct and indirect expenditure relating to staffing and resource requirements in partnership with your line manager
  • Ensure the day-to-day management, monitoring and supervision of staff is facilitated in a professional and competent manner

Skills and Experiences:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Residential Management
  • Experience working in a children’s residential care setting (at least 2 years at a managerial level)
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding regulations and Children’s Care Standards Act 2000
  • Committed to achieve best outcomes for children

Salary: Up to £45,000
