Children’s Registered Manager – Greenwich – Up to £45K

Hampton’s are working in exclusive partnership with a brand new children’s residential care provider who are looking for a highly experienced manager to open their first 3 bed EBD home in Greenwich! This is the perfect opportunity for a Registered manager to put their stamp on a brand new home give the company a flying start in terms of successes with Ofsted!

Our client is proud to be able to provide this opportunity as there are limited facilities for residential care for young people in the Borough and they have won their case to provide temporary accommodation for vulnerable young people until they are able to be placed somewhere on a more permanent basis. Therefore, this would be a fantastic organization to join as there are many firsts in which you would be absolutely instrumental in delivering!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all administrative requirements of the home are maintained in such a way that they are compliant with good childcare practice, homes procedures, company policies and children’s regulations
  • Develop and make known to staff a variety of intervention strategies regarding behaviour management in order that children can develop coping mechanisms and changes in patterns of behaviour
  • Ensure effective delivery of individual care planning requirements for children
  • Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to adherence of policies, both in the home, the organisation and those set out in Children’s Legislation and Regulations

Skills and Experiences:

  • Reputable NVQ level 5/Diploma/Equivalent- Leadership and Management for Residential Child & Social Care (England & Wales)
  • Good understanding of the Children’s Home Regulation, Care Quality Commission requirements and application of Children’s Home Standards to ensure compliance
  • At least a year managerial/similar level experience in a childcare setting with minimum two years’ experience working with children and young people
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead and manage with tangible and verifiable outcomes of past performance

Salary: Up to £45K
