Hampton’s Resourcing are proud to be working with a small children’s residential care provider who is on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager in Essex for a 4 bedded EBD home… are you up for the challenge?

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring staff engage and communicate effectively with young people, ensuring each young person’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs are met
  • To be accountable for safeguarding and high quality of care to all young people, including having responsibility for reporting and providing notifications as required to other agencies and ensuring these are acted upon appropriately
  • To ensure that full and accurate documentation is kept regarding young people in line with legal, local, national and professional guidelines
  • To accept responsibility for the day-to-day management of high profile cases and to oversee the case management of all young people within the home
  • The Registered Manager will facilitate inspection visits from regulatory bodies and routine regulation 44 inspections ensuring all relevant information is accessible and easily available. The Registered Manager should act on and share all recommendations from these visits with staff, young people, parents, local authorities and other interested parties

Skills and Experiences:

  • 2 years experience relevant to residential care within the last 5 years
  • 1 years experience supervising and managing professional staff
  • Have a good knowledge and experience of law and practice relating to looked after children
  • Have business and management skills to manage the work efficiently and effectively
  • A level 5 qualification relevant to working with children or management qualification
