A growing industrial automation and digital transformation organisation is looking to hire two Senior Ignition Engineers to support increasing demand across manufacturing, logistics and industrial automation projects throughout Germany and Europe.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale Industry 4.0 initiatives, helping customers connect shop-floor operations with higher-level manufacturing systems through modern SCADA, IIoT and Smart Manufacturing technologies.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Ignition Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and deployment of industrial software solutions across a range of manufacturing and industrial environments.

Projects will involve:

• Ignition SCADA architecture and development
• Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 projects
• SCADA, MES and ERP integrations
• IIoT and industrial connectivity solutions
• Customer workshops and technical consulting
• Technical leadership and mentoring
• Commissioning and go-live support

You will work closely with customers, project teams and international engineering colleagues throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Ignition-based SCADA solutions
• Develop Ignition Perspective and Vision applications
• Configure gateways, tags, alarming and historian functionality
• Connect machinery and equipment to SCADA, MES and ERP systems
• Work with OPC UA, MQTT and industrial communication protocols
• Support industrial software development and integration projects
• Participate in customer workshops and technical discussions
• Support testing, commissioning and deployment activities
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices

Language Requirements

Business-fluent German is essential.

Strong English communication skills are also required due to the international nature of the projects.
