This role will support the introduction of new utility equipment to the Zoetis Tullamore site. The primary function of this role is to support the engineering effort with the installation, commissioning and validation activity. The calibration engineer will be involved in the assessment of new equipment and the identification of calibration requirements, drafting of operational SOPs and determining appropriate reference standards. The calibration specialist will execute internal calibrations and manage external vendors.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Schedule and perform instrument calibrations, according to Zoetis Procedures
• Co-ordinate and liaise with external contractors on calibration activities.
• Report events of out-of-specification per calibration procedures and standards.
• Maintain database of all calibrated instruments on site.
• Determine instrumentation requirements, develop and maintain calibration procedures and ensure appropriate calibration standards and supplies are maintained.
• Develop and maintain accurate database, documentation and history files on all calibrated instruments through the CMMS.
• Train others in equipment calibration.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure effective closure of Quality System issues identified within the calibration system/process (Audit findings/CAPA).
• Actively participate in cross-functional teams providing instrument calibration support for new facility expansion and existing manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to your work, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.

Education and Experience
• Certificate in electro-mechanical/instrumentation/science or comparable industry experience
• 2 years relevant work experience
