Management Accountant, Bath, 6 month fixed term contract
We are looking for an experienced Accountant on a temporary basis, providing support in the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, reports for monthly management reviews and the annual budget and quarterly forecast submissions.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied role which will enable existing team members to develop, test and be trained on a new ERP system.

Main Responsibilities include:
Assist in the management of all day to day finance including invoicing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting and Inventory Accounting.
Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts by preparing and entering journals.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly.
Prepare and enter monthly accounts into the Group consolidation system.
Perform variance analysis to evaluate company performance and provide commentary to explain key variances to budget / forecast.
Assist in preparation of information for local management performance reviews.
Control, Governance and Compliance
Assist with tax compliance/filings including VAT, Export tax reporting and Intrastat returns
Assist with local / national government reporting to comply with regulatory requirements
ensuring they are completed accurately and by the required deadline.
Support the Financial Controller in the implementation and continuous monitoring of strong internal controls and processes across the business.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist with preparation and submission of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, by
liaising with other departments to collect data and appropriately challenging assumptions.

Experience
Part Qualified / Qualified
Experience of using D365
Experience of producing management accounts in a busy finance function.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to business partner and engage with non-finance stakeholders.
