Job Description – Senior Accountant

As Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of the accounting function and act as the financial reference point within the company.

Accounting & Reporting
• Manage end-to-end accounting activities.
• Oversee and optimize VAT management and ensure full compliance.
• Lead monthly and annual closings, prepare financial statements, and coordinate with external partners (auditors, tax advisors).
• Ensure accurate reporting and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Team Supervision & Development
• Manage and mentor the junior accountant currently in place.
• Provide training, structure, and guidance to elevate the overall accounting quality.
• Bring a proactive approach and go beyond day-to-day bookkeeping by improving tools, controls, and processes.



Profile

  • Education: Bachelor ou Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in finance or accounting, ideally in an international or fast-growing SME environment.
  • Languages: Excellent command of French and English, Dutch is a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Autonomous, rigorous, well-organized, team-oriented, with the ability to set up and improve new processes.
  • Autonomy & Strategic Vision: Comfortable working independently, operationally hands-on, while maintaining a broader strategic view to drive and improve financial and administrative processes.
