Why is this role unique?
This Senior GL Accountant position is both broad and strategic. You'll operate in a fast-paced international context, managing several legal entities and contributing directly to the optimization of internal tools, procedures, and financial decision-making. You'll be supported by a junior accountant and collaborate with an experienced GL colleague, while reporting closely to both local and international management.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the quality of general accounting across multiple group entities
• Manage monthly and yearly closings
• Participate in audit processes, financial reporting, and data analysis
• Handle VAT declarations in Belgium and various European jurisdictions
• Monitor cash flow, fixed assets, provisions, and accruals
• Drive improvements in accounting processes and documentation
• Maintain close communication with auditors, headquarters, and external stakeholders
• Coach and support the development of the junior accountant
• Contribute to financial tool upgrades and reporting projects

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 5 years of experience in general accounting within an international environment
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); any other language is a plus
• Strong command of accounting tools and Excel; knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Detail-oriented, autonomous, and proactive with strong analytical thinking
• Comfortable working in a multicultural and collaborative setting
