We are looking for a senior AP/AR accountant to join an internationally growing company in the distribution and consumer electronics sector. The Belgian entity is part of a publicly listed group with a presence on all continents, offering stability, innovation, and international career opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

As a senior AP/AR accountant, you will assist the Chief Accountant in the daily financial management of the Benelux and French entities, playing a key role in month-end and year-end closing processes and gradually expanding your responsibilities:

Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) and General Ledger (GL):

  • Process and verify supplier and customer invoices.
  • Follow up on payments and reminders with the Shared Service Center.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and account clearing.
  • Participate in bank entries and fixed asset tracking.
  • Contribute to statutory and regulatory filings (VAT, Intrastat, etc.).

Reporting, Analysis, and Budgets:

  • Participate in monthly and annual closings and financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate on updating master data (suppliers, customers, items).
  • Suggest improvements to financial processes.
  • Progress towards additional responsibilities: international reporting, budget monitoring, and financial forecasting.


Profile Sought

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in AP/AR accounting, including GL responsibilities and monthly/year-end closings. Experience in reporting, budgeting, and audits is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent in French, good knowledge of Dutch and professional English (spoken and written) for international communication.
  • Personal Qualities: Autonomous, rigorous, proactive, able to take responsibility and expand your scope within a small, dynamic team. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.

  • A one-year fixed-term contract (CDD), with a gross salary of up to €5,000/month depending on experience.
