About the organisation

Our client is a national non-profit organisation active across Belgium, mobilising volunteers to support people facing isolation and vulnerability. Working in close collaboration with a wide network of partner organisations, it delivers concrete, local actions addressing essential needs such as food security, education, safety and social inclusion.

As the organisation continues to scale at national level, it is strengthening its internal structures, systems and governance to sustainably support its growing social impact.



Your role

As a key member of the governance structure, you oversee the organisation’s financial management, compliance framework and internal operations. You contribute to the professionalisation of processes and tools, support strategic decision-making, and act as a bridge between vision, systems and day-to-day reality.

This role combines strategic thinking, operational structure and hands-on involvement in a values-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

Financial governance & decision support

  • Lead budgeting, cash flow management, financial controls, audits and VAT matters
  • Produce executive dashboards, financial scenarios and strategic recommendations
  • Support leadership with clear, actionable financial insights

Systems & data

  • Deploy and optimise internal tools (e.g. accounting, CRM, Microsoft 365 or equivalents)
  • Automate workflows and ensure data reliability for decision-making

Compliance & risk management

  • Oversee legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks (GDPR, insurance, contracts, governance formalities)

Funding & subsidies

  • Manage donations and grants: identification, application, follow-up and reporting
  • Support partnerships and fundraising initiatives from a financial perspective

Operational & team support

  • Support programme teams through clear processes, planning and internal coordination
  • Oversee administrative HR matters (payroll coordination, HR documentation, social secretariat liaison)


Your profile

  • ±7 years of experience in finance, operations or general management, ideally in a non-profit or multi-project environment
  • Strong strategic mindset: able to analyse, prioritise and translate ideas into action plans
  • Systems-oriented approach: simplification, standardisation and automation with a human focus
  • Fluent in English, French and Dutch
  • Comfortable with financial systems, CRM and productivity tools (or equivalent platforms)
  • Rigorous, pedagogical, collaborative and solution-oriented
