Due to ongoing investment in the millions into their site and a variety of exciting upcoming projects, this employee owned manufacturer in the Merseyside area are looking to bring in a Quality Engineer into their team to support with their continued growth, offering excellent working conditions, a family style environment, and vast training opportunities.
Role Description
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance to ISO9001
- Support with New Product Introduction projects, also supporting with production trials.
- Work with customers, suppliers, and associated teams to ensure compliance, managing any resolving any non-conformances
- Generate quality and process related documentation – PFMEA’s, Control Plans, work instructions etc.
- Oversee changes in engineering processes from a quality perspective
- Report on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel
Skills and Qualifications
- Experienced with core quality tools – FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
- Experienced operating Polyworks, Faro Arm, and CMM
- Automotive industry or related experience is very advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Engineering qualification
