Game Engine Generalist (Fully remote)

Salary: £30,000-£45,000 DOE

I am working with a growing startup who have recently been awarded funding for AR/VR projects to help schools, carehomes and other institutions gain access to technology that gives them virtual experiences


  • Develop, produce and create the final game worlds and logic required for their work

  • Understand build processes and requirements for multiple different platforms and their limitations

  • Keep up to date o developments and any new pipelines/processes within the game engine world



  • 2+ years of experience within this industry or tech

  • Conventional 2:1 or greater degree in Game Design, Interactive Media or similar area

  • Commercial experience in both Unreal and Unity Mono (C#) programming

  • Understanding of game logic and general processing pipelines

  • Experience in production with each/either UE4 & Unity

  • VR / AR / XR technology and methodology understanding

  • Strong mathematical/physics processing understanding for game mechanics

  • Experience with Version Control software (e.g. git, Perforce, Subversion)


Would be nice

  • Experience with Game Engine content production pipelines

  • Experience with particle systems (eg Niagara)

  • Experience and understanding of MOCAP solutions

  • Experience of using other content creation tools (Maya, 3Ds Max etc)

  • Comfortable working in small group environments to accomplish larger tasks
