Salary: GBP37000 - GBP42000 per annum

We’re on the lookout for a Tekla Draughtsperson to join our well established and expanding client based in Loughborough on a full time, permanent basis.

 

Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience).

 

The Role:

As a Tekla Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for producing general arrangement drawings and 3D models of architectural and structural steel components for house builder projects as well as producing information packs to enable the successful manufacture and client installation of the end product.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using Tekla to model structures from engineer’s designs and general arrangement drawings.
  • Adding connections as detailed in the Engineers calculations.
  • Materials scheduling for procurement, including the preparation of prelim and bolt lists.
  • Generating drawings and exporting to other formats.
  • Creating CNC data for production.
  • Appreciation of manufacturing methods and technologies.
  • Appreciation of codes and standards used in steel engineering.
  • Collaboration with third parties (Clients, Architects, Engineers).
  • Operating efficiently to the Company’s QA/QC procedures.
  • Detailing both fabrication and prep drawings for the Projects and Contracts team.
  • Producing Marking Plans for site erection packs.
  • Working closely with the production team and design engineers to ensure design is suitable in terms of on-site buildability and fabrication.
  • Working closely with the Project / Contract Managers to ensure good communication and teamwork on projects.
  • Assist Project / Contract Managers with the preparation of documentation for quotes.
  • Attending meetings and site, both internally and externally, as required.
  • Carrying out other reasonable tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fully competent in the use of either Tekla software packages.
  • Ideally 2 years within a similar role.
  • Capable of liaising both with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce a consistently high standard of work.
