Job Description

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Hod Carriers to join a busy construction project, supporting bricklayers with the day-to-day requirements of the job. The successful candidates will help ensure materials are readily available, allowing the bricklaying team to work efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Mixing and preparing mortar for bricklayers.

• Loading, carrying and distributing bricks, blocks and other materials around site.

• Operating a hod or other suitable equipment to transport materials where required.

• Keeping bricklayers supplied with the materials needed to maintain productivity.

• Assisting with general site duties and maintaining a clean, tidy working area.

• Following manual handling procedures and all site health and safety requirements.

• Working effectively alongside bricklayers and other site operatives.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Hod Carrier or in a similar construction role preferred.

• Valid CSCS card.

• Full PPE and a good understanding of site health and safety.

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and repetitive lifting.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.

• A proactive attitude and willingness to support the bricklaying team.
