We’re excited to recruit a Receptionist role for a Brighton Campus within Education. This vital front-facing role is ideal for someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and a strong sense of organisation to their work. As the first point of contact for students, parents, and staff, you'll help maintain a calm, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general reception enquiries in a timely and courteous manner
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Deputy Principal, EA/Registrar, and school leadership
  • Support school documentation, including letters, spreadsheets, permission forms, and formatting tasks
  • Maintain up-to-date student records and files (electronic and hard copy)
  • Administer student first aid and maintain accurate first aid records (training provided if required)
  • Coordinate emergency drills and act as Warden during drills/emergencies
  • Track and reconcile daily student absences, following up with families as needed
  • Assist with event coordination (e.g. Open Days, morning teas, school celebrations)
  • Manage school stationery and office supply ordering, stock control, and vendor communication
  • Assist with archiving, document compliance, and record keeping
  • Liaise with the Brighton and Caulfield campuses to support smooth operations

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience as a receptionist is necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a calm and welcoming manner
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and able to manage school systems and databases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • A proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused approach
  • High level of confidentiality and emotional intelligence
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
