OVERVIEW: The Human Resources Manager plays a strategic role in fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and compliant workplace. This position is responsible for overseeing core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and policy development. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
- Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair resolution of workplace issues.
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook to reflect current best practices.
- Partner with department leaders to support organizational change, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management to promote a positive and productive work environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervise HR staff and/or administrative personnel as assigned.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while ensuring accountability and quality outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional HR initiatives and collaborate with other departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
