OVERVIEW: The Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s benefits programs, including program administration, compliance management, vendor management, and employee communication. The successful candidate will also oversee the Benefits Administration team.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and wellness benefits, ensuring they meet organizational goals and employee needs.
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities to the benefits administration team, facilitating solutions when needed.
  • Supervise the process for handling ADA-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Analyze monthly insurance billing invoices to ensure records are up to date and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Create and update benefits-related policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and organizational needs.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operations of the benefits administration team.
  • Identify training needs, provide coaching and mentoring, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous benefits experience required
  • 1 year of previous management experience
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Multi-tasker
  • Team-player
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
