Great opportunity to join leading Oil & Gas Company as CMAS Assessor / Coach on a contract basis in Algeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, performing, and documenting competency assessments on the CMAS Team: instrumentation, mechanical, electrical and operations to the CMAS standards. The role will also include some coaching as required to close identified gaps in competencies.
CMAS is the Competence Management Assurance System which has been developed as the tool to manage competence assurance. CMAS is about matching the skills of individuals to the skills required for the roles which they hold and highlighting any training or competence requirements. Assessment will be a common part of the process.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Exhibiting good HSE behaviours.
* Performing competency assessments on operations technicians to required standard.
* Maintaining records of assessments in CMAS database.
* Coaching and training operations technicians on LPG process.
* Providing a daily update on activities and weekly training statistics, and planned activities.
* Proposing, advising and suggesting the CMAS training plan as per CPF procedure.
* Demonstrating capability and commitment in the design, implementation and delivery of CMAS training programmers to assist in the building of a blended learning portfolio.
* Capable of researching new techniques and maintaining regulatory compliance of all training materials.
* Being able to partner key stakeholders and subject matter experts to meet training requirements, acting as the L & D advisor on field projects.
* Designing and expanding on current training and development programmes, meeting the needs of the business to assist in the achievement of annual CMAS KPIs.
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 10 years experience in petroleum processing operations.
* Should be fluent in English and French (it is mandatory).
* Must also have had at least 10 years' experience at a supervisor, coaching and advising level.
* Have a good understanding of hydrocarbon processing methods and equipment.
* Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
* Be familiar with competency assessment techniques.
* Have good organizational capability.
* Have good computer and IT skills.
* Have good coaching skills.
* Have a positive attitude.
