Are you an experienced accounting professional with strong technical skills and a keen eye for compliance and reporting?

An international company in the construction and infrastructure sector is seeking a Senior Internal Controller/accountant to join its finance team based in the Antwerp area.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Accountant:

• Ensuring adherence to BE GAAP and UK-IFRS standards
• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
• Leading the implementation of new accounting standards and internal controls
• Serving as a technical expert for local finance teams
• Providing advice on complex accounting transactions, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and provisions
• Assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, monthly reports, and regulatory filings
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and group finance

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Relevant experience in similar role or audit
• Solid knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with statutory reporting and consolidation processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is beneficial
• Expert in MS Excel, familiarity with ERP systems (such as Cognos, PeopleSoft, or similar) is advantageous
• You have the ambition to grow into the role of Finance Manager in the future
