About the Opportunity

NT PHN has a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to join the team. The Health Workforce Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, and evaluation of workforce programs and initiatives that support the development of the Northern Territory’s health workforce. The Health Workforce Manager leads a performance-driven team, delivering innovative and effective workforce development programs and strategic workforce projects. This is an exciting and dynamic role that will provide the opportunity to work on high profile programs and projects, both locally and nationally, as part of Australia’s health workforce reform agenda.

Essential

  • Relevant Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive leadership experience in a health management, business, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with exceptional management skills and a track record of leading successful teams.
  • Ability to lead the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, and processes to drive the efficient and effective operation of the workforce branch.
  • Demonstrated high level skills in program management including oversight and management of budgets and ensuring quality and timeliness of all program delivery and reporting.
  • Highly developed problem-solving, conceptual, and analytical skills, and proven ability to contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of the workforce program deliverables.
  • Proven skills and experience in service development and implementation to meet funding requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in written and verbal communication, including quality report writing
