Vacancy working as a Care Support Worker for patients with Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum disorders, based in Epsom. The service is a registered home for adults, and at present caters for people aged between 49 and 64.
The ideal candidate will provide specialist intensive support to individuals with severe challenging behaviour, and whose needs cannot be met within mainstream services.
The service provides:
Purpose built environment incorporating a large, well maintained and enclosed garden
Individual bedrooms
Range of activities aimed at developing and maintaining the routine of daily living and skills in a variety of settings, to promote independence
Day activities provided at dedicated day services with individual packages of support including intensive interaction programmes
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and must have previous experience of working in a care setting, preferably within the NHS.
Shift patterns are full time hours, with a flexible pattern.
The hourly rates for the role are:
£11.50 p/h Monday – Friday
£13 p/h for Saturdays and Nights
£14.50 p/h Sunday’s and Bank Holidays.
