Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Stokesley. Our client is a well-established electronics and instrumentation businesses with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.

Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:

  • Process Optimisation: Maintain and improve manufacturing processes to meet ISO 9001 and quality standards and ensure robust designs and processes for high product yield, quality, and timely delivery.

  • Collaboration and DFM: Work with cross-functional teams to implement design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and optimise timelines.

  • Process Evaluation: Assess and improve current processes to eliminate waste and increase output.

  • Project Management: Manage time across multiple projects and communicate progress to stakeholders.

  • Manufacturing Routings: Design and implement manufacturing routings within the company's MRP system.

  • Production Support: Collaborate with the production support team to achieve departmental KPIs.

  • Knowledge Development: Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and manufacturing processes and remain updated on relevant manufacturing technologies.

  • Training and Documentation: Provide training on best practices and create detailed work instructions using CAD and written documentation.

  • Security Clearance: Obtain security clearance for MoD/Military access as required.

 

Role Requirements:

  • 3 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience.

  • Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiative

  • Degree/HND qualified.
  • Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
  • Proficient in CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and MRP systems
  • Competent in electronic fault finding.
  • Understanding of safe working practices.
  • Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Experience with automation systems.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
