Salary: GBP12 - GBP13 per hour

My client is a well-established, beverage manufacturer based in the Leeming Bar area. Based across their site, they have seen impressive growth year on year, with further growth plans for 2022 and 2023! They work with brand name companies that supply most retailers in the UK. An opportunity has arisen for a number of Machine Operatives to join their Weekend Shift Team on a long-term basis.

This opportunity as a Machine Operative gives you the chance to work with one of the most respected companies in the UK who can offer genuine career opportunities.

Shift Pattern: 

  • Morning 6am - 2pm, Afternoon 2 pm - 10 pm , Night 10 pm - 6am
  • Monday to Friday 

Machine Operative Duties:

  • Working with computer-based machinery
  • Working a permanent day shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Moving finished pallets into the correct locations
  • Working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Effectively quality check on the lines reacting accordingly to anomalies
  • Fulfil and complete all procedural requirements and paperwork to a high standard
  • Liaise with shift engineers regarding machine faults or issues
  • Actively clean working environment during job changes
  • To undertake additional training as required
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with shift managers and co-workers
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Machine Operative Role Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • An in-date FLT Counterbalance Licence (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Must be consistent in keeping your work area tidy
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on season
  • Communicates effectively on all levels
  • Comfortable using computer systems
  • The ability to follow strict processes
  • Professional attitude to work
  • A willingness to learn and progress
  • Able to work with own initiative
