My client is a well-established business in the construction industry, operating from a state-of-the-art facility and holding top-tier SHEQ accreditations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety, and Environmental professional with experience in the construction sector.

As a SHEQ Coordinator, you will play a key role in implementing and maintaining SHEQ systems. Your responsibilities will include managing accident investigations, addressing non-conformances, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation, development, and ongoing maintenance of SHEQ management systems.
  • Oversee the investigation and reporting of accidents, near-misses, and non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain up-to-date risk assessments, COSHH documentation, legal compliance registers, and environmental aspect/impact registers.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits, site inspections, staff inductions, and regular reviews of RAMS.
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, including energy usage and waste management performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, promoting best practices across all operational areas.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and supervisors to identify, address, and resolve safety and quality issues.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation.

Skills and Experience

  • NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Experience in accident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices
