Transport Co-ordinator

Location: Dalton, Thirsk

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join a busy operation based in Dalton, Thirsk.

The successful candidate will have previous transport/logistics and administrative experience, excellent IT skills, and the confidence to liaise with drivers and support the wider operations team.

The Role

• Using in-house systems and Microsoft Office packages
• Liaising with drivers and supporting inbound and outbound deliveries
• Providing direct administrative support to Operations Managers
• Working to targets and ensuring daily duties are completed within required timescales
• Completing general administrative duties, including filing and maintaining records
• Answering emails and telephone calls
• Providing general office support where required
• Working closely with the wider logistics team to ensure operations run smoothly
• Being comfortable working on your feet and staying busy throughout the day

Requirements

• Previous transport/logistics and administrative experience is essential
• Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Friendly, polite, and approachable manner
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines and targets
• Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday
• Own transport is ideal due to the location and working hours
