Machine Operator/FLT Counterbalance Operator

Location: Hartlepool

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator/FLT Counterbalance Operator  to join a busy industrial site in Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or production experience to join a hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring cable stripping machinery safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading materials using a Counterbalance FLT - up to 4-tonne drums
• Carrying out routine machine checks and reporting any faults or maintenance issues, including jams and replacing knives
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience operating production or manufacturing machinery
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and practical operating experience
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within the metal recycling industry or a similar heavy industrial environment
