HGV Class 1 Driver (LGV C+E) – Nights | Middlesbrough

The Best Connection is recruiting additional HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing night-shift work with our client at its Middlesbrough depot. This LGV C+E driving role involves depot-to-depot trunking in a brand-new fleet, with trailers loaded and unloaded by forklift truck.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties

·        Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) vehicle.

·        Complete night-time trunk runs between depots.

·        Drive double-deck, curtain-side trailers.

·        Work efficiently while goods are loaded and unloaded by forklift truck.

·        Use a brand-new vehicle fleet.

Driver Requirements

·        Valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.

·        No more than six penalty points and no DD or DR endorsements.

·        Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.

·        At least six months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.

·        Excellent customer service skills.

Night-Shift Hours

·        Approximately 9:00 pm to 5:00 am.

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates

·        Monday to Friday: £18.50 per hour  

·        Saturday: £27.75 per hour PAYE.

·        Sunday and bank holidays: £37.00 per hour
